This workshop consist of 10 - 15 mins tour of Pottery workshop ( the dragon kiln, what it's used for, how it's fired, Q & A etc)
30 - 45mins Pottery on the Wheel Demonstration. None of my colleague had a successful result from the Wheel.
1 hr 30mins Basic Hand-building workshop & Hands-on session. We are all beginner, so our hands on is not on the Wheel. :) The instructor conducted a hand-building session (pinching / coiling) where participants learn how to make their own little decorative objects (bowls, cups, etc) Works made by participants here will be glazed and fired.
The clay works made by the participants need to go through a tedious process of 4-5days of drying, 2-3 days of firing, 1-2 days of glazing by instructors, 2-3 days of high-firing so that pieces can be functional & food safe, 1-2 days of packing works into boxes. It's takes about 1 month before we end products are sent to us. Just in time as a little Christmas gift for each of everyone. All works are good, except for one which was explored when fired.
Since i was part of the committee, doesnt have much time to think and work on mine... so a quick one and here's mine:
