Another milestone

With helper around, their idea is to get the child has their meals as fast as they can without much mess. So ended they are feeding the children and they loss the chances to learn feeding themselves in the early stage.

Days without helper, I'm teaching janelle to be more independent. :) so indeed of me feeding her breakfast, I want her to feed herself. We started with her taking fork to feed herself (good job) but she would throw it to the floor... :( day1, mummy morning exercise was picking up fork for her. Slowing telling her that she need to put the fork on the plate/table after each mouth and it's comes with encouragement and rewards with "yeah!!!" in a super high tone every time she did it. Day 2, yes, she managed to do it, she would put fork on the table :)

Next step, mommy is training her how to pick up the food herself. According to PT, That's not a easy job for them as it's required fine motor skill and need her to focus and concentrate. Really hope in the near future I have another clip to share.

But this is a good start of 2012, am looking forward for more.

Days without a helper

We received a called a call from our maid agency a couple of days before our maid returned saying that our selected maid is down with a lump on her neck aka 猪头皮. They asked if I'm ok to take her in. Of cos no, I don't want a maid to come in and spear viruses to janelle. If to wait for her to recover, it may takes weeks even up to a month. So we decided to dropped her and reselect a maid. The fastest we can get will be a transfer maid which I don't really like. So I choose the next option which choosing those maid already has passport which will takes another 2 weeks for work permit application. Our maid refused to extend further of her contact for 2 more weeks as she wants to spent the new year with her family and friends. So no choice, we are down with helper. Kogan took 2 weeks leave... And I took 2 weeks of half day leave.

New maid will be coming in this sat. 1st week went past, feel loved and feel as a family. He cooked, I washed, I do laundry and he do vacuum. Things went tough, as we are not familiar where things kept, how to do things fast and clear and we discovered many hidden things like there are cockroaches home in our room, 4 days we killed abt 50 cockroaches, there are ants in those under surface area, there are spiders web in those corners. While trying to clear up the mess, we did our spring clearing too. Everyday we have like endless of chores to complete. By the end of first week, cockroaches and ants no more but janelle fall sick.. She had a viral inflection, she vomited 5x on friday and pooed for more than 20x second day on sat. I afraid that she had food poison before of the ants and roaches poison. Does this happen? At the end of 2nd, daddy washed her backside and listen to janelle cries.. And daddy one not careful, janelle had a fall and had a lump on her head. Daddy was so angry on himself to let this happened after so many shit, he lost his patience and he took his time off before he throw his temper. :( I have to take take care of crying janelle on one hand,and another hand prepare medicine, water and milk. After prolong crying, janelle vomited. I'm in fear, afraid something's will happen + no one else there to help + non stop crying of janelle.. Mummy too, breakdown and cry with her and still need to keep talking to her telling her she will be ok and clearing the mess up. Hus heard me crying, he dashed in and took Janelle out to watch hi5 - her fav DVD, she would stop crying when she heard the music.what a useless mummy I am.

Wasn't able to sleep well in the night, had been waking up after 2-3 hrs of sleep.. feeling not well, so I brought janelle back to my mom place on sunday while giving him more time off from janelle. At mama place, a place where I can don't need to think of chores, don't need to entertain janelle, still get help from them :) finally managed to get more sleep. But reached home, I still need to face the reality.. The endless laundry to do, the room that filled with clothes, the sticky floor and basin.. It will be a long day tmr.

can't wait for my new helper to be in. Going to bring in mummy maid to help up for the next couple of days.

See this is the amount of clothes that need to be ironed, folded and keep every 3 days..

3rd day in nursary

She is doing well without caretaker in school. Whether I'm with her, she would stick stick to me and refused to play or listen to teacher. So, what I did on the 3rd day was dropped her in school, send her to the classroom, gets her settled down and I went off. Came back just before bath time, but it was bad. Once she saw me she cries, refused to do everything.. Don't want to bath, don't want to eat...

Auntie says "before u come, she was alright, went up and down without sound. Once I saw you, next moment I hear her cry... 撒娇. "

First day in Nursery

As we know, janelle having slow development and she started the Childcare with Playgroup which is 2 years below her age. After trial for 2 months, Janelle had teaches the Playgroup classmate with all bad habit like mouthing of things, walking around the classroom not paying attention as they are in the stage of imitating. So this year, tr suggested that janelle goes to the class that is at her age group (Nursery) where the classmates are more stable and able to understand better. Would give janelle a better example than the PG.

As a requirement, one caretaker will follows as janelle needs lots of hand over hand help which tr is not able to provide.

First day in Nursery, helper not yet in and mummy need to report to work to make necessary arrangement for the next 2 weeks, so daddy kick start the journey with janelle. However, Daddy hide himself in another room and she is doing very well without daddy and mummy. Good job, Sweetie!!! Tr Kelly saw me hiding at one corner checking on janelle during lunch, she says "Don't need to worry, today she has her eyes on the new teacher".

S&A wedding

On the first day of 2012, i leave hus to take care of janelle. he brought janelle back to MIL's for dinner so that MIL can do the feeding.. Brought her home, change her, feed medicine and put her to bed.. Yesh!! By 930 pm, janelle was sound asleep.. He did a good job :) of cos mama did all the prep job, prep janelle towel/PJ/pamper for changing and medicine before I step out of the house for a wedding dinner. Good good good, more to come :p

The childhood "enemies", adulthood lovers, finally hitched on the first day of 2012. S had been waiting for this for many years but A had been rejecting and thinking the best is do without the banquet.. A is a person who scare 麻烦。：） like S says 好东西是要等的。so today he married Chen Siew Huan looked alike bride. On stage, when the MC asked S "how long you have know the bride?", "about 10 years"... Downstage J was saying where got 10 years?? It's 19 years. Wah!! Sounded very long and old. Guessed S was too nervous, we can tell from morning highlights where he forgot to unbuckled his belt before get out of the bridal car.. Haaa.. It's 19 years of friendship, 10 years of courtship bah.
