Mood of the week - Grey

Last weekend, hus did something that really distrubed me, even till now. I know that it's nothing serious, but i just cant accept it and i dont want to accept it. For the past few days, i have feeling like thousands knots in me, feeling very angry, very disappointed, very disrespect. I can understand why he need it, but i cant accept it. He flew off on monday, at least giving me some cooling period.

May God be in the center of our relationship.

Kaisu mama Yvonne was worried for Janelle last week seeing her breakthrough of allergy rashes. Went many places trying to get purifier for her. No luck in local store, hence tried looking via online and even oversea. Getting friends who is in JB, HK, BKK to check on the store and price.  Hus even suggested to fly to BKK and hand carry the puirifer back since he has more than enough of free air ticket to exchange.

Critiea of Puirifer I'm looking for:
1. Purifier + Humidifer (Due to the dry weather, humidifer will come in better than a purifier only.)
2. HPEA filter
3. budget SG$300
4. able to cover a room size.

JB only sells puirifer without humidifer, and it's SOLD OUT too.
HK price is about the same with SG but will need to top up for the postage
BKK price had been mark up at least 30% more than SG due to taxes.
US price will be slightly cheaper but the deliver will takes longer time and also the voltage is another troublesome.

Comparing the prices and avaliabilities, ended i got a way beyond my budget purifier with humidifer from HK as that's the only model that fits into what i wanted except for the price and paid a $80 postage. Begger has no choice. Was kind of heart pain, but hus had assured that this will be a good buy. Not only for during the haze period, but it will continue to be used in our daily life to ease my nightly sinus and help us have a better sleep with better air condition especially in punggol area where construction is non-stop. Looking forward to receive my purifier today.

While waiting for puifier, bought "Aqueous Cream" to apply on Janelle to ease her redness on skin and also to act as a protection from contact of dust.It had ease her redness.

Husband says i'm hopeless when it comes to flight with others Q for purifier/masks etc. But managed to some masks from my colleague and friend for both adult and children. :P I didnt get much, only gotten 5 each as that's to prepare for the worse and to be used only going outdoor only when necessary. :) But did a special delivery of children mask to A for her nephew who i'm more worried over the weekend.

Guess dont need me to tell you how singapore reacted to the Haze, if you want to know more, you can read what the writer had wrote on Dumb and dumber singaporean reastions to the haze.  As a singaporean, i somewhat agreed and disappointed.

Was very gald that there are someone out there are not the dumb and dumber. They cooked green bean soup and sent it to homes over the weekend, helping the old folks. Saw this from my friend facebook

But how did the haze missed Singapore? Look at the map, winds just blew it north east like there is a huge fan blowing it away from Singapore. The Indonesian Minister said it takes a miracle to stop the haze. I thank God for his mercy on my country but we need to pray for our neighbours that He will stop the haze by sending us unprecedented rain in this dry season to extinguish the fires.

Singapore Haze 2013

Over the past one week, the air quality has drastically worsened and a strong burning smell can be detected across many parts of Singapore. Singapore air had been covered by smog which caused by illegal forest fires in our neighbour country - Indonesia's Sumatra island since last thrusday. The Pollutant Standards Index, Singapore's main measure for air pollution, surged to a record reading of 371, breaching the 'hazardous' classification that can aggravate respiratory ailments.

All masks and purifiers of all brands no matter what's the price tag had been wiped off by the 5th day of Haze. If the condition continue, Singapore Gov will shut down schools and some workplace.

With this Haze condition, i see how stupid singaporean can be. Netizen behind the computer are irrationality in blaming singapore government or even PAP about the haze. https://www.facebook.com/FabricationsAboutThePAP Bascially any unhappiness they faced, they blamed singapore government. Sometime i find it a joke and shame on their action, when they are using one finger to point at the singapore government, they have another fingers pointing to themselves. Let's face it, if you dont self help, what can government do?  personnally, i feel that xiaxue (a famous singapore blogger who netizen criticize her as bimbo) speaks more sense then anyone of them.

Had been staying indoor as much as possible, and yesterday saw Janelle dust allergy breakthrough and seeing redness rashes on her face and legs. Wanted to get a purifier for her yesterday night but no luck at all, all stock had been wiped off. Even aircon filter is also out of stock. Maybe i'm slow in re-acting. Now getting J to get it for me from hongkong and post it to singapore. Paying for a higher price for the seek of Janelle. Praying for heavy rain to wash away the haze.

A break from work?

Thank God i have a good helper who really loves Janelle. In order not to scare my helper with the night in hospital, I wanted to sent her home and have me doing the night shift. But she requested to stay in cos she worried of Janelle and she afraid i can't handle. And yes, she stayed in with me...

After monitoring of one night with no fits, but she started to have very bad LS. Since morning after she started to intake milk, she pooed almost every 20min. Nurses, Helper and me changed diaper till we wanted to cry. Doctor concluded that Janelle was having viral inflection, and most likely that the inflection was boiling in her one or two days before which worsen her seizure and causes fever and LS. And he didnt immediately prescript pro-biotic for Janelle as he wanted to flush the viral out from her body. Poor Janelle, by noon time, her butt was as red as monkey's butt and she refused us to touch her butt at all.

Although there was no more fits, but her fever did came back in the middle of night so we are to stay for another day of monitoring but we can transfer to normal ward. Within an hour after she woke up in the morning, she took out the feeding tube herself. And i had lost count of times that we had requested the nurse to re-type Janelle's IV board. |||. We had green light for milk intake, but this time round i learnt my lesson... i breakdown the volumn into small intake with more time. so started with 60ml and every hour or so... By lunch, she was so hungry and keep asking for eat.

IV on her hands, she was so "hungry"that she bite off the tip of the IV tube on her left hand. (the yellow colour thingy)

Doctor gave us green light for solid food intake for dinner after no more episode of vomiting.

We was discharged on the 3rd day. Although daddy wasnt with us, but we know that he was very nervous and intense. He called every once and then when he can. He wanted to rush back, but i had been giving him the assurers that i can managed and things had went thru well which i kind of regrets it after that. A had once told me strong is ok but don't be fake strong. Else he will take things as granted. Daddy called this a short break for mama from work. Goodness me.

We are very blessed where friends and family who are just a call away and around us when i need them most. Prayers for Janelle from our Extended Families, Sisters and Brother in Christ and friends. And God is good, Prayers answered and Janelle had a speedy recovery and mama had the strength to take this thru even without daddy around. Praise God.

Nightmare

This afternoon Janelle had a prolonged fits that lasted 30 min. This is the first time she had such a long fits. By the 7min, I inserted diazepam, but she didn't recover herself, still very stiff and not responding. immediately asked helper to pack and we are going to hospital. On the road journey, I feel like the highway never ends, the longest road I had drive. Tried very hard to calm myself, saying not forgetting to says my prayers, giving instruction to my helper and drive safety and patiently at 110km-120km/hr, changing lane, overtaking cars and honking at cars who doesn't move or doesn't give way. PTL, we reached safely.

Parked my car at doorway of KKH A&E, picked Janelle and dashed into the the triage area. Thank God, there is not many patients and i managed to grab a nurse to attend Janelle immediately. She saw janelle in is not at her conscious, immediately she activated the doctors. With all the emergency first aid given to Janelle. After the 1st anti-seizure drug was given thru IV and doctor says she still not conscious yet. Requested 2nd anti-seizure medication given thru IV, my heart dropped.. The fear of losing her and feeling useless mommy dont know what to do except be there holding on oxygen mask for her and talk to her giving her the assurance that I'm there. Thank God, after a short while.. Janelle came back to conscious and gave doctor a response. Janelle is admitted and warded to high-dependency ward for monitoring.

Didnt know what to do.. hus not in town, he just flew off the very morning for a important business trip. Really dont know what to do and also didn't want to cause trouble to others.

What'sapp BFF and informed my siblings. Having J telling me what i should do. Need to inform hus. Was thinking to keep it from him and let him have his worry-free business trip in china. But she advised a no no. Should let him know. 😪. XJ came down shortly and he kept reminding me that dont need to keep it to myself, friends and families are there for me. A came to keep me accompanied and reminding me things need to do, get and buy. Guess without them, I'm lost. I'm blessed to have them. Thanks Guys.

Due to the drugs she took, it's cause drowsiness and doctor suggested no food and to put her on feeding tube and drip. XJ was telling me that thank God I was away to do paperworks when nurses and doctor put in the feeding tube, else i will definitely cry. *Ouch* She had a long nap and milk was the first thing she asked for when she woke up. Doctor gave the go ahead but she wolf down her milk too fast as the result vomited all out :(




Now she is fast asleep.
