My husband craving

My husband has a craving of Lotus Root and Peanuts soup. Went online to get the recipes just for him.

Ingredient:
Pork Rib 150g
Fresh Lotus 150g
Peanut 150g
Dried Red Dates 15g
Ginger, 2 slices
Rice Wine, 1 teaspoon

Preparation:
1) Cut ribs to small pieces.
2) Wash and peel lotus skin, cut to slices
3) Remove seeds from dried red dates
4) Soak peanuts in clean water for one hour.

How To Cook Lotus Pork Rib Peanut Soup :
1) Bring 3 cups of water o boil. Add in pork ribs.
2) Boil for 1 minutes and drain the water. Leave the pork ribs aside.
3) Bring 5 cups of water to boil.
4) Add in pork ribs, lotus, ginger, dried red dates and peanuts.
5) Cook at low heat for 3 hours.
6) Add rice wine and salt to taste.
7) Cook at low heat for another 20 minutes.
8) Soup ready to serve.

Doctor fee increased...

Yesterday on the newsaday headline, a doctor charged an oversea patient SGD$450K treatment fee a day in singapore. I was like "wow", they can buy a apartment everyday with the treatment fee. The doctor is now under the court case for further investigation on the charging fee.
Come to think of it, indeed, singapore doctor fee had increased quite abit this year. Janelle KKH's consultion was used to be about $70 one time, now they are charging $80+.. and soon, GST going to increase from 7% to 10%.. there would another jump in the fee again. wondering why doctor fee has government tax?? Sick already very sad, still need tax on sick and sad people.. haiz.
Just this week, Janelle had high fever, then cough.. brought her to see a family doctor not those PD, it costed me $49.. and then my maid had a viral inflection too, brought her to see the family doctor and costed me $44 and today, having very bad flu and was just prescript with a flu tablets and that's costed me $47... and janelle went for 2 therapist this month and there's goes my $320 to the rich doctors.

New tips learnt

On Monday, teacher called me when janelle was in school because she was down with fever out of a sudden. After her snack time, she became very cranky. Teacher took her temp and was at 38.50 degree. Quickly took her home and monitor. Gave her medicine but fever was on and off.

Was kind of worry for her as usually after she pooed, fever will goes off. But not this time round. One of my colleague told me that Malays have a transitional method which they uses asam mixed with water and sponge her. She told me asam has a cooling effect which can quickly bring high fever down. Which is true, when I mixed asam in water, I can feel the cooling 冰冰梁梁 effects on my hand and it can last for about 5 minutes. This works for janelle. In her 2nd day, I uses this method and it did bring her temp down.. Maintaining at a mild fever range.

Was at a party in my bil place, doing nothing.. So when Browsing and download top app in iPhone, and I'm hooked, with smurf village.




Reminded me with my childhood days. Smurfs were so in at that time. At work/at sleep, I will still thinking if my plant harvest already?? even I have set the right timing.. Heee...

The price are x2 or even x3 of those micorwave ovem. But without much thoughts, i got this.. I believe no money can buy health. I rather spent a little bit more to keep everyone healthy now than spending more money to repair their health later.

Last day of CNY

Yesterday night, i brought Janelle over to mung's place to 拜年. mung's mom is just like my mom, Together with her dil, they always showered me alots of tips even since my pregnancy and this year meet up... without failed i leant alot from them on how to take care of children. :) Auntie keep telling me that Janelle looks very smart, dont need to worries she will pick up when it goes.. she keep giving me the assurance. Looking the the 2E, wooo they are so smart and active. I'm so impressed when 大E was reading a map and pointed out where is singapore zoo, and he is just 5 years old. 小E same age with Janelle, and she showed her caring towards Janelle. She walked towards Janelle and hold her hand, bring Janelle to the playarea and shared her toys with janelle.... If Janelle is ok, her progress would be same as her.. seeing them plays bring me joys. I was glad that Janelle was not cranky at all even with many people around, she indeed enjoyed the accompanies. Dont know if i see them played too much and hearing the 2 children talking non-stop, this morning i woke up from a dream. i dreamt that Janelle started to talk. She said "Piti Prata" when asking for Roti Prata... haha... yes, i know!! I think too much.

This morning, I took a half day off from work to bring Janelle to KKH for Physio. PT says Janelle gross motor had up to track and she just need some time to herself to build up the confident and stabilities. also since janelle is seeing PT in school weekly, she will graduated janelle from KKH's PT as she thinks janelle dont need extra session already. She is doing very fine. That's very Great!! PT agreed that this year focus is on OT and Speech.

Tonight we are going for a dinner at my in law place to celebrate the CNY..... Another long night.

Valentine's day

Since many many years ago, valentine's day is not a day for me to spend with boyfriend or husband. Usually they are away or have something on. I always spend my valentine's day with my close buddies or family.

And this year, my husband is out of town. I spent it very my close friends. After a movie, we went triple 3 for dinner. With update of all juicy gossip, nice food and great accompanies that made it a perfect night.

Our theme of the night: a emo night - all black...

See, isn't she smart? She knew that the walker is too short for her, so she turned it over to make it a better height for herself...

ops, she and her big pajamas... I like to get big big pajamas for her which i think it's more comfortable.

Pre-Valentine's Day Dinner

Hus actually forgotten our wedding annvirsay dinner.. feel so upset and disappointed. the gift he gave is getting smaller each year... Year 1 - Gucci Bag, Year 2 - Coach Bag, Year 3 - stainless steel necklace and Year 4 NOTHING.

After showing him the *face*, he planned something on friday night just before he fly off to germany. A romantic dinner at Bontanic garden:

Wooo, the steak is so nice... so juciy... so tender... :) as a punishment to him, i ordered the most expensive steak + wine..

Chinese New Year

Chinese New Year:
Day 2 - My Bro-in-law and Sis-in-law brought the families to Batam for a short holidays. leaving us in singapore... so, husband brought my mother in law and the maids to Marine Bay Sands to see see look look...

I got 2 qipao for Janelle... :) she wore it on both days... And also got her many dresses from US... so basically she was having a fashion show over the new years.. Too bad, was too busy, didnt managed to capture all photos on each dress.

201012 - Xmas Lunch with ex-colleague

One day, one of the ex-colleague msn me asking out for lunch. Was kind of surprise as it been a while since we last met. We went keppel bay for brunch.. i fall in love in the environment once i step in, it's so relaxing. Best of all, the food was good. We had great lunch there... we chatted for hours, updating each other of news... seeing everyone doing so well, haiz dont know why i'm still here... anyway once in a while it's nice to be a tai-tai..

Happy Chinese New Year

Since young, I've been looking forward for this day.. The reason is this is the only occasion where my families gather together. In the past my dad worked 363 a day and off only on Chinese new year eve and 1st of CNY.

So till now, I still take this occasion seriously. But to my husband, it's just another day... Haiz. Before he talked to his sister, he can very agitated and get angry easily on small matters. After she talks to his sister on whatever up in his mind, he seems to change into a total different person. He even bring me for a movie and accompanied at my mom place to entertain my relative and my dads friends. This is seldom see... Hmmm..

My another headache is Janelle. she seems to reject new environment and places with alot of ppl. When at my mom place, where my aunt was there.. She gets very cranky.. But once she get to 2nd floor, she played with herself happily.. That's scared me... Tried to bring her over to neighbor place, the same happened.. Very cranky and once we reached home, she played with her toys happily... How??
