More or less, i have decided to go for the the operation. weighting between the risk factors vs long run.. long run with the uncontrolled seizures and medicines might have more harm to her.. so i think is worth to try. I hope Janelle will be able to wean off all the medicines, stop the seizure and back on the growing path with the normal kidz.
Preparing my list of Questions to Doctor on the operation
1. What is the risk on epilepsy op?
2. What is the best case we are looking forward to?
3. What is the worst case that we need to be prepared?
4. If the operation is successful, what are we expecting?
5. Will there be any side effects?
6. Will the operation impacts her development, growth, functional, etc?
7. In KKH, how many children had went through such operational?
8. And how many successful cases? failed cases? status qua cases?
9. What's the plan like if we opn for the operation?
10. What's the cost will be?
11. Any idea if we can claim from insurance?
12. is there anything else we need to know before we commit?
13. does janelle needs to continue with the anti-seizure drugs after the operation?
14. is the operational is to be done one time only?
15. other than operational, is there other choice available?
