Has my Janelle grow up?

Time flies isn't it. She is coming to 6 soon, and cos Janelle has been slow in development, i have been treating her like a baby and didn't realized that she is 6.

One day when she insist to bring her bag out with her sweets inside, suddenly i feel that my Janelle is growing up vain with better awareness.

Swimming

These couple of weekend our friends invitied us over their place for swim. we had been condo hopping for swimming. From seragoon to bedok to yishun :)

My hus suddenly make a remark in the swimming pool which made me lol.

Hus: not bad hor.. Swimming in a private area which not that crowded

Me: yap.. Not sure when we can enjoy the convenient and luxury lifestyle.

Hus: like that better isn't it?

Me: huh?

Hus: we got to swim in the private pool, free car park, don't need to pay monthly maintenance and we try diff pools.

maid

when i read back my entries on my blog, realised that the past 2 years i didnt says anything about my previous maid. indeed she was a good helper that nothing more i can asked her. She is patient, she keeps the house very clean, she love and very careful to janelle, she dont like to chit chatting away with maid who she just met. her basic manner is there, and my parents likes her too. but too bad, she wants to return home and settle down. before she return home, i told her i wish her happiness and hope i dont see her back in singapore but is she is coming back, i more then willing to take her. because if she comes back to singapore would means that her husband is not doing well enough to support her which i dont wish for that.

She send me messages and telling me she is married. Wishing her all the best.

What's the worst gift u ever reveived from your partner?

Was whatsapp-ing with my girlfriends and it bring to a topic on whats the worst gift that u ever have recived from your partner...

I recalled mine was a book on my company ex ceo.... yes a book and its abt ex ceo. Seriously, who cares about my ceo.. at that moment when I received the book, my eyes rolled till dont know where.. and have never touch it again

Singapore named the world's most expensive city

It's on BBC News that Singapore named the world's most expensive city. I had been thinking about this recently too. With the increasing of price everywhere except our salary, i find that all things in Singapore gets more and more expensive. If i compared with other countries, one thing can be expensive but another is cheaper. For example: In US food is more expensive but their clothing and cars are cheaper. But in Singapore, everything is expensive.

• Our car is at least 2 to 3 times more expensive because of the Certificate of Entitlement (taxes to gov).
• our utility bills are soaring
• buying clothes branded or not are also 50% more expensive than US, and 100% more expensive than china which goes into the resellers' profit.
• School fees are getting increase of 20% this year because of limited teachers and therapist.
• Housing is getting more and more expensive because of the rich from all over the world had invested in Singapore properties and the increase of stamp duty (taxes to gov)
• Even maid salary had increased 25% within 2 years.

Every years our salary increment is at 2% but expenses is increasing at 20%. Now i have to think of ways to cut expenses or increase my income.
