First tooth fairy

Ms janelle had her first tooth fall off a couple hours ago... officially ms bo gay.

Back to school..

After 10 yrs, i returned to school and take a professional certification. I have to admit that it's not easy to get back to study being a mom.

The toughest of all is the arrangement caretaker for Janelle without any family members able to help and husband traveling. The need to fetch janelle for TCM over the weekend is another headache. Thank God most of the time husband is in town to help, but that's only lasted for 4 weeks. 5th weeks accident happened and janelle was injured by the door in the TCM clinic. :(

When i stayed home for self-study, ms janelle will definitely around me.. hide my pen, pencil to catch my attention. Asking me where is daddy and kaka… Asking me to on Hi5 for her. Sitting beside me and sing song.. especially weekend, she will keep bring her shoes to me, hinting me time to go out. most of the time she win..

No choice, but took a few days of leave and crash course to study before the exam. and thank god.. it's now over. :)

Superman in action again

Last month.. one saturday when mommy was away for flea, my house superman decided to take off again and this time with Janelle. Both of them flew off from electric scooter. when hus called me and he sounded kind off lost, i dropped everything at flea to A & J and took a taxi home.

Janelle had abrasion all over her legs, right hip, right shoulder, right side of her head.. and lower gem was bleeding nonstop. i checked and think is just abrasion should be ok.. dont need to be alarm. So decided to put her home and monitor. She cried for a good whole 2 hours… Bought her to kWh A&E on sunday afternoon as per bus's request to confirm janelle is fine. Doctor and snr dentist in kkh confirmed just abrasion, just need to continue monitor for the golden period (72hrs) after fall for vomit, sleepiness, fever etc. On tuesday evening, hus noticed that janelle head had a lump that was as big as my palm (9cm by 9cm). That's really scared me, and we quickly sent her into KKH again. Did an X-ray and confirmed was a blood clot between her skull and scalp, no crack in her skull so nothing to be concern of as told by the doc. Was told it will be heal by itself about 2 to 3 weeks, and no medication was given. We were sent back with follow up session. One week later when we are back for the review, the bump was not any better, still at 9cm by 9cm and was asked to return a week later. Thank God miracle do happen, when i see no improvement on the 9th day, i asked for a group prayer during our cell session, the bump subsided the next day. on the 14th day, when i returned to the review doc, before she touched janelle, the first thing she saw me was telling me she was very concern with janelle's bump as it is too huge to leave it to recover itself. She afraid it will cause infection and things will get more complicated. hence she is considering to admit janelle to hospital…… she was quite surprise when i break the news that janelle's bump had reduced 90%.

While daddy's injury are more serious, his left swell up over night and was sent to TTHS on sunday morning.  The fall tore his left hand ligament and was on cast for a week and was told to be on wrist guard for a month.

Woah… it was a hectic month.. and thank god both have recovered well.. just that hus kind of jeopardize with handling janelle alone. He banned me for going out alone, leaving janelle with him. hmmm... 

Kota Tinggi Waterfall

This is our third time to Kota Tinggi but first time to the popular out-of-town attraction is Kota Tinggi. This attraction of the waterfalls is situated at Lombong. It is a good spot to take a fresh mountain air, but the waterfall itself is kind of disappointed. According to hus, the volume of water has decreased 60% and water was not as clear as his last visit. I would says the water is muddy to me. There are mining happening all around the area that causes the waterfall lost it's beauty. There are water play like slides and float available for rental.

We was there 60min, enjoyed the cold water and the fresh air, and head back.

Try a little kindness

Today, was having lunch with our church members, and all are talking about plans for year end holiday. I didn't contribute much… out of a sudden, a church friend of us looked at us and offered to take care of Janelle for a few days for us and we to have time off and enjoy a holiday.

Very nice and sweet of them.. Not even our family had offered that to us before.

Problem after problem

Company is going thru retrenchment. PPL come and ppl go.. No one is important to the company, everyone is possible. Feeling very down as few of my closed colleagues in US and HK was being cut. Don't know when is my turn.

My in laws are calling me  and asking abt my financial and asking me to stop selling clothes.  I explained to them the matters is not only  money. .. We don't mark up the price horribly, its just a reason that girls can a break from the family during the flea.

Brothers are on deep shit and I have emptied my bank for them. Haiz. When will they learn.

Lots more problem around me. At this point of time I just want to be ostrich, Bury my head down and know nothing. 

God says he will give when asked.  I asked and declared received in jesus name.

Offside meeting at melacca 2014

Waking up at 530 am to catch the company bus to melecca to meet the KL folks for an offset meeting. It's a bit crazy 8 hrs of bus journey 4 hrs of meeting.

After the meeting... colleagues bought me to have the famous durian puff and jonker 88 chendo.. its the gula melaka that make it fragrant so nice. Heee.. In the end I bought back 1kg of gula melaka..

As usual I bought a hard rock tshirt for janelle.. and this is what I get from her this morming....
Me: sweetie, see what mama got for you from melecca. It's a hard rock tshirt to add into ur collection.
Janelle: well done
Me: ||| you are most welcome.

This is my alarm clock works

This is how my alarm clock works everyday. .  And she wakes me up without fail at her own time own target. Can be as early as 6.. the best day she will allow me to sleep till 8am. She sleep I sleep, she wakes up and I wake up.

1. She will come near me
2. She will pull off my blanket
3. She will climb over me
4. She will start pinching me
5. If still haven't response the.. her final step is pull my hair..

Now I'm in a stage where 喝水都会胖。I have eating as usual, sometime lesser.. but my weight is going up monthly.  Why?

Coughing

Don't know since when I became so sensitive and fragile... had been down with flu and cough for a month.. doctor suspect is due to the haze which causes sensitive nose...

MIL 70th Birthday

Hus started wanting to celebrate 70th for his mom. At first he wanted to make it big by inviting relatives, but mil don't want. She just wanted a small family event will do. Selected a few places but all shot down as sil wanted somewhere nearby. So ended up Pinsi Yishun, but I managed to get a KTV room so they can sing songs.

Genetics test

Months ago doctor from department of child development recommended us to bring janelle for a genetics test. Didn't think too much and followed the flow..

J and hus asked why would I want to go for genetics test?? what can I do after knowing if it is a genes problem?? will there be an solution of its a genes issue?? All the why came out from them..

After more than 3 months of wait.. spending nearly a thousand of dollar.. The result is finally out. Hus was not avaliable so i went alone. Early morning before i left house, hus told me the result doesnt mean anything. Whether is it normal or not.. its no longer mean anything to him cos he know it very well that there wouldnt have any change to janelle life anymore. He asked me not to worry too much and don't take the result too hard.

With a heavy heart and in a messy mind, I went in to hear the result. Everything is normal.. High level and commonly dna that causes seizures was tested and everything is normal. Of cos there are more detailed test that can ve taken and deep dive into each cells but decided not to further presume for gens test, like hus shared.. what can u do if it is gens problem? Bascially is Nothing.. is FYI kind of test, so save the money and janelle blood. Doctor also shared that I would have a 25% as compared to average of 1% chamce to have other children having the same condition as janelle. That's the take away from these test.

I shared with my mom, she says the chances not high can try. I shared with my mil, she says if you scare then don't.  And I agreed with my mil, both hus and myself heart are too fragile now to have another janelle.

Singapore's smelly beancurd

One afternoon, after hus picked me from work and janelle from school, he had a curving of smelly beancurd so we are here… Mini Star Fermented Beancurd at Geyland Road.

Singapore version is a kind of different from taiwan and hongkong version where you smell it before you see it. The smell is only out when the beancurd is right in front of me.

And one of the critical points for Smelly bean curd are the sauces - sweet and chili sauces that married into the smelly beancurd and make it perfect. Indeed, they have very nice sauces that added some points. This is the only store in singapore that sells smelly bead curd, no fish prawn also good. :)

Trick Eye Museum Singapore

My siblings have been raving about the Trick Eye Museum in Korea, so I was so hyped when i saw my friend's Facebook sharing on the photos taken in Singapore outlet at Resorts World Sentosa. Immediate i told my husband I WANT TO GO. My husband as my husband, he did a online search and says ok let's go and had to be before 22nd June. I thought he was as excited as me, but i'm wrong… cos till 22nd June, there is a opening promotion for 50% off all tickets. Nevertheless, i still looked forward to it.

We went on a saturday early morning, and the queue was super long. My husband queued for 45mins to get the tickets and was told that the waiting time is 3hrs before we can go in. We looked at the watch and janelle and we decided to come back on next day - sunday instead as it is not here and there. It will cross lunch time and Janelle nap time. The ticketing lady told us to come back on weekday instead for lesser crowd, cos even 30min before the opening, there were more than 60people in the Queue on that day. 

Since we already at RWS, we let janelle do her shopping at cindylious with their mini shopping cart. Her favorite toy.

But as i having workshop over the weeks and husband will be out of town, so we made it early to reach RWS 30min before the opening to try our luck. The ticketing counter were filled with many people, the queue was all the way to malaysia hawker center. And since we already have the tickets, we only need to queue for the admission, but it's never a short queue too. 

Guess we are the 100plus in the Queue even we are 30min early

Not sure what time the first in queue started to queue, but indeed they came well prepare

About 50 of those in front of us has no tickets on hand, we we managed to jump queue and in within the 1st batch. Husband was hurrying us when we are inside, we wanted to be in the less crowded session. Under his monitor, we skipped many populars (cos too many people) finished within 30min. Kind of pissed, but it's ok.. I will be back again.
