Journey with Heavenly Father

It's all started because of a song "Healing Rain" by Micheal W Smith. Last month, by chance i came across this song thru youtube. Somehow, this song gave us (Janelle and Myself) comfort and peace, after replayed of twice, Janelle fall asleep after her playful night. It seems to me that there are words God wanted to tell me in the song and when I listened to it carefully, words like: "Healing Rain is falling Out", "It's bringing in mercy and it wouldn't be long", I'm not afraid" touches me. From then on, I read up more about Words from God.

On the third night, when i told hus about how i felt, he passed me a Holy Bible which had been in his bookshelves. Yes, I'm surprise that he kept a Holy Bible, it was a gift from a colleague who saw he troubled over something and tried to introduce God to him last year when hus was very depressed and upset over Janelle. I started to read up on Holy Bible.

About a weeks later, a mummy of Janelle's schoolmate by chance came to my blog and read about the ketogenic diet post and dropped me an encouragement message also passed me a book about the power of a praying parent. It's in Chinese, so it's take time to read and its a good book so I'm still trying to complete it :) But this had pull me nearer to God.

During Easter break in Malacca, Aunt brought us to church and introduced Pastor William to us. We had a chat and maybe from hus words, he felt that we need help. At the end of the session, he told us "I would love to help you but the time you in Malacca are too short". He passed us the contact in Singapore and strongly recommended us for Healing Room. He showed us miracle that God can done on a mman as He healed a believer's movements from stroke in Jesus name. The man came to church with lost function in his right arm. He cant even lift in up at all. But after 15min of receiving healing, he left the church with his right arm can be raised. Praise the Lord.

We had accepted Jesus as our Lord and savior. We followed his light and contact Pastor Eddie when we returned to Singapore and they linked us up with Carnhill Methodist Church.

We had our first session with Healing Room on 21April2012:
- Janelle started to walk with her heals down first more instead of pushing her sole
- Janelle started to repeat after me for "1, 2, 3" in Chinese.
- Janelle started to do Hi5.
- but her fits still continue. Had 3 episode last week.

We had our second session on 28April2012 yesterday. and yes, looking forward to more good things to happen with Janelle.

God bless.

Our first family holidays...

Hus came home one day and suggested that we made a road trip up to Melaka during this Easter break. Without much discussion, he went into the room and booked the hotel with points exchange. I was quite reluctant to go as I have a lot of works to clear over the weekend. But since he was very enthusiast, don't really wish to break it? bite my bullet and go for it. This marked our very first family trip and am glad that I did it.Specially invested on a GPS to guide us to Melaka.

As this is Janelle first road trip, i was so worried.. Worried that clothes are not enough, afraid food and water are not suitable, as the resulted I packed a large luggage of clothes and food and water. Hus laughed at me saying I'm kaisu.

Day1 - Set off the journey at 8.30am but still caught in the jam at custom for more than 3hrs. We only reached melaka at abt 2pm.See this is how my janelle was being served on the road trip.

By then, we had missed janelle nap time. She was over-excited and tired but refused to nap. Hus suggested that we to go for a swim to use up all her energy and put her to bed again.YouTube Video
Settled down at noyna restaurant - Bibik Neo for our dinner together with hus's aunt. I would say that i definitely go a place that serve good Baba-Nyonya food and cendol.

After dinner we went for a walk at junker's street. The crowd was horrible, we lost my mil and aunt among the crowd. With cranky sleepy janelle searching for them from street starting point till street ending point. I could feel hus blood boiling, but he controlled.

Day2: it's a spiritual day. We visited with hundreds years historical Christ church in the day. And did my first even service in breakthrough city church in the evening.

Day3: to avoid jam at custom again, we decided to set off after breakfast. Janelle "requested" for a swim, so daddy brought her for a dip before we set off. ;)

Give Us Your Shoes and Give Them Your Love!

A group of ladies decided to do something for the cambodia's street kids by bringing them love and shoes from Singapore. They setup "Give Us Your Shoes and Give Them Your Love!" to gather shoes in Singapore and bringing over to Cambodia personally. This is a non-profitable project; everything is their own expenses - flight, stay, meals. They are looking for more volunteers, more shoes, more help!

Today is the 1st shoes collection, I volunteer to help and stationed at Seng Kang taxi stand G18 along seng kang square from 11pm to 12pm.

After the collection, we went to a multi-purpose halls to sort out, wash and pack the shoes into boxes.

Young children outgrow their shoes very quickly. If your children have a lot of shoes that have been hardly worn and still in good condition, you can Help A Cambodian Child - Change A Cambodian Child's Life!!!

For next collection dates, you can check it out:
